Since our last update…..looks of changes. Our parish FINALLY received its grant to run water to our homestead and other properties in our area. This is a huge blessing as it alleviates the need for a well ($$$).
It has been an uncommonly dry start to the year and until our recent land work, we had not had any noticeable rainfall. As fate would have it, it rained most of the week we were planning to clear land.
After arriving to the property, our plans were again changed due to the massive amount of damage caused by an ice storm that hit the area in January. This caused us to spend about two days cleaning up downed limbs and trees in addition to the overgrowth that was already marked for removal. The best laid plans….
